(Manassas, VA) – Railfan Rowan, also known as Northern Virginia Railfan online, has gone missing after posting several videos and livestreams on the online platform Instagram. These videos depicted messages about Christianity, Christ, and the Bible. An organization by the name of “Church Of Satan” has claimed full responsibility for his disappearance, sighting that Rowans praises of Jesus heavily conflict with their beliefs. Around the same time however, Norfolk Southern retired over 100 EMD SD70M-2s, so it is also believed he could have committed suicide. TRAGEDY ON THE TRACKS: Crew presses self-destruct button instead of horn for foamers
BREAKING TODAY – ST. PAUL, MN – In the evening hours of March 9th, 2021, a group of foamers on the BNSF Railway’s Saint Cloud Subdivision watched the unthinkable unfold at their request. As the S-TACLPC, an international container train from Tacoma, WA to the Chicago Logistics Park, rounded the bend, several in the group motioned for the crew to blast the horn for the cameras. The crew attempted to oblige, but instead of the horn button, a crew member accidentally hit the GE ES44C4’s self-destruct button, igniting the blasting caps hooked into the explosives that occupy the unused space around the A1A truck’s empty axle. BNSF Railway and General Electric have yet to provide official, detailed statements, but Railnews Online managed to get a hold of representatives from both parties for comment. Terrance Bigsley, Cheif Mechanic at BNSF’s Northtown engine facility, had this to say: “We honestly didn’t know these ES44s came with self-destruct buttons, but given the amount of foamers down the line it was probably the best option for the crew. These Minnesota foamers are something else. I personally think it’s a pretty cool feature and I can’t wait to test it out on any more C4s we get into our shop!” A low-level former General Electric shop floor worker reached out to Railnews with the following statement: “We just forgot to tell BNSF about that. Oops. But it was super obvious man, like, how did they miss it, the designation even says it, you know, ES44 C 4. Like was that not obvious or something?” Railnews has reached out to both parties’ press teams for official comment, stay tuned for updates as this terrible story unfolds.[9:04 AM]

AWVR To make purchase of 20 ET44ACs

(Stanton, Pennsylvania) – AWVR (Allegheny West Virginia Railroad) has joined the GE bandwagon today, placing an order of 20 brand new ET44ACs which will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2021. The class II has purchased these tier 4 locomotives after issues with the Morrison-Knudsen Electronic Braking and alerter interlock system in their older AC4400CWs became prominent, causing several delays in and around Fuller yard and Brewster. AWVR operations manager Conny Hooper commented, “Ever since the purchase of our second hand locomotives in 2009, we’ve been dealing with mechanical issues left and right. These new EPA approved locomotives will hopefully reduce the issues presented in our older locomotives”.
Once delivery of the ET44s begins, AWVR will begin the retirement and subsequent storage of the 700 series AC44s. 765-767 will be the first to be stored.
